Scottdale resident releases presidential candidate quote book

SCOTTDALE, PA – A new book about Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul by Philip Haddad was released nationwide this week.

‘Ron Paul Speaks’ is a 320-page mass market paperback produced by Lyons Press, an imprint of The Globe Pequot Press. The book contains hundreds of Ron Paul quotes organized under more than a hundred topics – pulled from the candidate’s speeches and media interviews.

Haddad, 26, became very involved in the Ron Paul campaign this past summer, and met the candidate at his Pittsburgh rally while shooting the event for a series of video interview Web uploads. The Haddad interviews and Ron Paul rally address have received more than 7,000 hits at youtube.com/tremontavenue. Haddad went on to volunteer for the Ron Paul campaign in New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Pennsylvania – walking door-to-door with literature, street sign-waving, and helping to man phone banks to get the word out.

Haddad is Acquisitions Manager for Tremont Avenue Productions, a small independent content producer. Haddad and Roger Marsh, of Chicago, compiled and edited the Ron Paul Speaks manuscript soon after both had worked together on the full-length comedy, ‘Mars Attacks Mt. Pleasant,’ shot in Mt. Pleasant and Scottdale, this past June. The book was represented by literary agent Jeff Herman of The Jeff Herman Agency, LLC.

“Ron Paul is the only modern statesman who honors his oath of office,” Haddad said. “The book was a natural progression for me as I researched the candidate. It was a timely subject, with the upcoming presidential election, and the publisher agreed to fast-track the project. We completed the work in December and it’s on shelves nationwide in March – an incredible turnaround when you see that most books take a year to go through the same process.”

Haddad has launched a related Web site – ronpaulspeaks.com – and is in production currently with a Ron Paul Speaks video series now that will be available this summer.
