About

Tremont Avenue Productions (TAP) has produced film, stage, print, and Web projects. We are currently active writing and producing works of comedy and politics. Whatever we dive into is generally stretched to see what we can do in each of our four areas. Our Ron Paul Speaks book project grew up on and off the set during production of the feature-length film, Mars Attacks Chicago. The book was created and launched. We are now working on a series of short videos with the same ideas.

Mars Attacks Mt. Pleasant has a colorful history that began in print as a novelette, moved to Chicago stages as a live radio play, was remolded again as a feature-length digital video project, and has morphed again into a reality television project in the pre-production stages now. And from this film's team, a short was produced in February, Legend of Lillian Peacock, which also gets a premiere this summer with our production partner, Geyer Performing Arts Center.

Our projects have featured the work of writer-director Roger Marsh as he collaberates with other artists. Most recently actor Philip Haddad pushed the comedy boundares aside and worked with Roger as co-editor on the Ron Paul Speaks book. Many interesting artists have stepped inside TAP over the years to push projects into new directions.

We are currently building up partnerships with both our production and post-production teams in an all-out effort to deliver new products in 2008 and 2009. While Ron Paul Speaks makes its way across the country this year, we will premiere Mars Attacks Mt. Pleasant in June, and continue creating new content.

From Our Past

Dime Novel Radio Theater - a serial radio dramedy performed to a studio audience, was produced in and around Chicago for three years. The project began as a series of short, comic novels, which were rewritten as stage plays, then as radio-style stage plays.

Our current focus is on film as recently celebrated the World Premiere of the docudrama, Haunted R&R Station, March 16, 2007. We are in pos-production now with the feature length DV project, Mars Attacks Mt. Pleasant. The project was shot on location in Mt. Pleasant, PA, June 2007. Producer Roger Marsh writes and directs all projects.

Roger's nine script credits: On A Moment's Notice had its world premiere at Fort Salem Theater, Salem, NY, in 1987. My Kingdom For A Pizza had its world premiere with the Aurora Theater Ensemble, Aurora, IL, in 1991 (produced as The Sorcerer's Magic Wand). Time For School was produced at Minnie Mars Jamieson Elementary School, Chicago, in 1997. Steal the Spotlight was produced at Disney World, Orlando, FL, 2001, by Panta-Rhei Media. Mars Attacks Chicago premiered at Red Hen Productions, Chicago. Jack and the Wild Onion Boys and Solid Gold Cadillac premiered at Chicago Public Library. What A Novel Idea premiered at Crossroads Theater, Naperville, IL.

Roger is a former acquisitions editor for McGraw-Hill Publishing's professional book investing and finance group. He was senior acquisitions editor for Consumer Guide -- where he devleloped hundreds of art-driven books and magazines from concept to the shelf in a wide non-fiction subject range.

Roger Marsh is a native of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he frequently shoots on-location today. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Joyce, and daughter, Laine.
